Exotic & luxury paint · Naples, FL

Invisible is the standard.

A parking scrape or a hit-and-run on a car like yours is not a fender bender. You want a painter who makes the repair impossible to find under any light, and keeps the car’s value intact.

Sound familiar?

Why an exotic is different.

If you’re reading this page, one of these is probably on your mind.

“I can see the repair when the light hits it.”

Metallic and pearl paints show every mistake in the flake. You will notice it forever.

“The dealer is hours away and slow.”

There is no factory body shop around the corner, and the car sits while you wait.

“The last shop scratched the new door.”

You need to know your car is protected while it is in someone else’s hands.

“I don’t want this showing up when I sell.”

A great repair protects value. A visible one costs you at resale.

Quick answer

Exotic paint repair in Naples should be invisible: colour, metallic flake orientation and texture matched to the next panel, sprayed in a booth and blended. Cars photographed at Diego’s Auto Body on Domestic Ave include a Ferrari 488, a Ferrari 308 and a Bentley Flying Spur. Ask for a private written estimate, then inspect the car in daylight at handover.

Planning guide

What an invisible repair on an exotic actually takes

Why exotic paint is different

Most exotic and luxury cars wear multi-stage paint: a base colour, sometimes a mid-coat of pearl, and clear on top. Metallic and pearl flakes lie in a direction set by how the paint was sprayed. If a repair lays them differently, the panel looks a shade off when the light moves, even though the colour code is right. That is the difference between a repair you can find and one you cannot.

Blending: the trick that hides the edge

A painter rarely stops colour at the edge of the damaged panel. Blending fades the new colour into the neighbouring panel so your eye never finds a line. Clear coat then goes across both. Done in a booth, with the car masked, it is the standard way to make a repair disappear. Ask any shop whether they will blend, and into which panels.

Dealer body shop or independent?

A dealer body shop is not always nearby, and many independent painters work on the same cars. The questions that matter are the same for both: have you painted this kind of finish before, can I see the work, which parts will you use, and will I get it all in writing? A written estimate lets you choose the parts you want before work begins.

Protecting resale value

Buyers of exotic cars inspect paint closely, and some use paint-depth gauges. A clean, well-documented repair is far easier to explain than a visible one. Keep the written estimate, the parts list and any photos of the work. That paper trail is part of the car’s value.

How to inspect the finished repair

Look at the repaired panel in direct sun, in shade and under your garage LEDs. Crouch and sight down the side for waves. Compare the texture with the panel next to it. Check the edges, jambs and rubber for overspray. Use the checklist on this page, and do not sign until you are happy. Questions first? Call (239) 261-2199.

FAQ

Exotic-owner questions.

Still unsure? Call (239) 261-2199 and ask Diego.

Does Diego’s Auto Body repair Ferrari and Bentley paint?

Cars photographed at the shop include a Ferrari 488, a Ferrari 308 and a Bentley Flying Spur. Ask Diego about your car’s finish.

Will a repair be visible on metallic paint?

Matching flake orientation and blending into the neighbouring panel is how a repair disappears. Inspect it in daylight and under LEDs at handover.

Can I choose factory parts?

Ask for the parts you want and confirm they are listed on the written estimate before work begins.

Can I get an estimate privately by photo?

Start with the form. After we reply, you can send three photos for a first look. Paint depth and flake are judged at the car, in person.

Should I use the dealer body shop or an independent?

Ask both the same questions: experience with your finish, proof of past work, parts and a written estimate. Then compare.
